of North Louisiana, Inc

Horse Assisted Therapy Services of North Louisiana, Inc. (HATS) exists to enhance the lives of individuals and families who are differently-abled through therapeutic horsemanship services.

"Rudy and I wanted to let you know we have seen a HUGE increase in Eli's development since he started horse therapy.  He used to stay off to the side playing with toys while Neo was racing.  Since then, Eli has learned to ride a bike and has raced locally, statewide, regionally, and nationally."

The Lives We Impact

VOLUNTEERS are vital to our riders' success, and we never seem to have enough!  We are primarily looking for folks 16 years and older (some exceptions may be made for younger teens with horse experience) who can tolerate walking and brief jogging in outdoor temperatures.  No horse experience required, but is helpful.

"She absolutely loves coming and Cookie.  This has really brought that sparkle back into my girl. She amazes me every week we come.  Thank you, HATS, for bringing my girl back."
